Talk: Parents-as-Coaches ~ A Fresh Perspective To Bringing Out The Greatness In Your Child

Parents-as-Coaches is an approach to parenting founded on the premise that our primary role as parents is to bring out the unique greatness in our children. Powered by love and centred on the well-being of the child, it integrates the heart of parenting with the practical discipline of coaching, enabling you to raise happy and confident children who manifest their innate potentials through being who they are, who they can be, and who they truly want to be.

In this talk, Kenny Toh, the founder of International Network for Parents as Coaches (INPaC) introduces the core principles and philosophy behind this fresh perspective and empowering approach to raising tomorrow’s heroes.  The duration of talk is one hour (excluding Q&A), covering the following:

  • What is coaching?

  • How is coaching relevant to parenting?

  • What is Parents-as-Coaches all about?

  • What are the key principles of coaching for parents?

  • What does it take to bring out the best in your child?

This talk is appropriate for raising awareness amongst parents and educators on the benefits of applying the principles of coaching in evoking the greatness in young children as well as teens.  To date, Kenny Toh, Founder of INPaC has delivered numerous talks related to Parents as Coaches at the Joyful Parenting Seminar 2006, Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) Headquarter, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National Centre for leadership Institute (NACLI), parent-support group at schools and parents of pre-school children.  If you are interested to attend one of these talks or host it at your workplace or social group, kindly contact Kenny at 9853-5200 or kenny@parentsascoaches.net

Personal Coaching: Parent-Being

Are you committed to giving your child your personal best?

Whether you are a housewife or a busy professional struggling to strike a balance between work and family, let me invite you to consider the POSSIBILITY of being THE BEST PARENT that you aspire to be. Parenting is a joyful journey, an intrinsically rewarding experience that is not without its challenges. Would you like to enjoy this journey by being your personal best?

As a father of two young children, I am of the opinion that our children deserve the best from us. As a personal coach, I have seen far too many parents who expect the best from their children without realizing that they have not put the same emphasis on themselves. I often bring their attention to the first of seven principles of coaching for parents: “Lead by example”.  We need to ‘walk the talk’ and encourage our children to do only what we are willing to do ourselves.  We influence or inspire our children through our being, rather than commanding them with our words. A close friend of mine once took part in a triathlon for the first time at the age of 40 to show her children that “you can if you believe you can” and that “it’s never too late try a new challenge”. Not only did she complete the race, she also inspired a dozen other individuals (including my wife and me) to give a shot at the gruesome test of our physique.

Begin your journey towards being the best parent that your child deserves with Parent-Being™, a one-to-one personal coaching programme specifically for parents who are committed to lead by example through the pursuit for personal mastery. Coaching sessions may be conducted either face-to-face or over the phone, typically on a 1 hour per week basis. Over a period of your choice, you will work closely with a dedicated coach to achieve specific results that contribute to your personal growth towards being an excellent parent and role model.

Once again, let me invite you to rise to the challenge and be the best parent that you can. The best way to find out if Parent-Being™ works for you is to give it a try.  CALL 9853-5200 TODAY and arrange for your first FREE TRIAL coaching session and discover for yourself the benefits of personal coaching.
